It all started when Joseph Picone was working at a storefront in 1949 and one day a client's son came in to make a business offer. That son was Charles Evans and he had designed a simple dress with the zipper in the front. Picone loved it and the two formed a fashion line.
The design of the skirt and also designs of women's slacks, became an instant success among women. Although Evans left the company in the early 1960s, Picone continued the line and has expanded the clothing line to create the MaxMora clothing line.
