Evangeline Lilly (born August 3, 1979) is a television and film actress from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. She is best known for her role as Kate Austen in the ABC hit drama Lost.
Discovered by a
Ford Modeling agent, Lilly worked with the agency's acting branch. She appeared in television commercials for for LiveLinks Chatline, a dating service, as well as in minor roles in television shows such as
Smallville and Tru Calling.
Lilly was once married to Murray Hone, a Canadian Hockey player. She was also engaged to Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan, but the couple split in 2007. They are reportedly together again as of January 2009.
