Heidi Klum is a world famous supermodel. She came from humble beginnings in a small town outside Cologne, Germany. She began her career at age 19 by entering and winning a German television modeling contest for the talk show Gottschalk Late Night Show.
She became famous after appearing on numerous well-known publications, including Vogue, Elle, and on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She also became a Victoria’s Secret “Angel” which made her one of the world’s most recognizable super models.
In 2004, she went on to host and executive produce the reality show
Project Runway, about fashion designing. The show was a smash-hit and she received Emmy nominations for her work on the show. Klum is also something of an artist. She has had both paintings and sculptures on display.
She has also appeared in an ad campaign for the game Guitar Hero World Tour, in which she reenacts the famous scene from the movie Risky Business. In the ad she dances around in a shirt and lip-synchs the song “Old Time Rock and Roll”. Klum did not get along with the commercials director and she was injured while making it.
In her personal life, since divorcing from her husband Ric Pipino in 2002, she has dated the likes of Anthony Kiedis of the band Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flavio Briatore, and the musician Seal. She met Seal in 2004, while pregnant, and the two went on to marry in 2005 and later have 2 sons.
