Hercules has appeared in film, television, books, video games and comic books. Hercules has been portrayed by Reg Park, Steve Reeves, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Sorbo, and
Ryan Gosling.
The most recent portrayal of Hercules was in the 1997 animated feature film of the same name. It was produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. It featured the voice talents of Tate Donovan in the starring role. It was followed by the direct-to-video prequel Hercules: Zero to Hero. Hercules: Zero to Hero served as a prequel for the television show Hercules: The Animated Series.
