Heroes is a sci-fi/drama about a group of people from around the world with extraordinary abilities. When the show debuted in 2006 the premise revolved around a group of strangers that started to develop superhuman abilities. As the show went on, it was discovered that all those strangers were connection in one way or another because of their abilities. The show is formatted to be similar to a comic book or graphic novel with story arcs divided into volumes and chapters.
The show was not only a ratings hit and loved among fans, but it was also critically acclaimed. The show went on to
spawn comic books, online webisodes and games. Heroes has been nominated for a number of awards including Emmys and Golden Globes.
While the show was widely loved during it's first season, it was recently started to garner a wide range of criticism. The main complaint from fans has been too many convoluted stories all at once and that each is too slow to develop and be resolved. Creators of the show have acknowledged the slow progress and have said they are working to restoring the show to it's first season glory.
The show has a large cast that include Milo Ventimiglia, Jack Coleman,
Greg Grunberg, Ali Larter, Zachary Quinto, Masi Oka,
Hayden Panettiere and Adrian Pasdar.
