Home Alone is a Christmas film written and produced by John Hughes and directed by Chris Columbus. The film was released on November 16, 1990 in the US by 20th Century Fox. The movie is about Kevin McCallister, an 8 year-old kid accidentally left home by his parents, when his whole family went for a Christmas vacation to France. After he realized that he is left alone at home, Kevin begins to fend for himself. He uses tricks and traps to fight off two burglars, Harry and Marv, who planned to rob his house. Macaulay Culkin starred as Kevin McCallister. The film also features Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara, and John Heard.
