The Accord is a midrange car manufactured by Honda and has the distinction of being the best-selling Japanese car in the United States for 20 years from 1982 to 1997. It is considered one of the most reliable vehicles on the market and retains one of the highest resale values around. The name Accord reflects “Honda’s desire for accord and harmony between people, society, and the automobile.”
The size of the Accord has grown over the years. The current 2009 model is considered to be at the upper-limit for what is defined as a mid-size car and may even be considered full-size by some. It available in both coupe and sedan models, as well as 4 and 6 cylinder engine options.
