Hook is the 1991 continuation of J.M.Barrie's Peter Pan. Years after Peter Pan has left Neverland, Captain Hook returns to kidnap his kids in an attempt to entice him back and finish the pirate war he never got. Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman play Pan and Hook, respectively.
The film was directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Frank Marshall, Kathleen Kennedy, Gerald R. Molen, James V. Hart, Malia Scotch Marmo and Bruce Cohen. James V. Hart and Malia Scotch Marmo wrote the screenplay based on characters created by J.M. Barrie. With a budget under $80 million, the film grossed $300 million.
