Hotel for Dogs - Family & Animation Movies

Thor Freudenthal directed the 2009 American feature film adaptation Hotel for Dogs. The movie was produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and Ivan Reitman. The screenplay was written by Jeff Lowell, Bob Schooley, and Mark McCorkle; it is based on the 1971 novel by Lois Duncan. The story involves two orphans who use an empty house to take in stray dogs. The cast includes, Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Don Cheadle, Troy Gentle, Kyla Pratt, Johnny Simmons, Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon, Ajay Naidu, and Yvette Nicole Brown. The film was co-distributed by DreamWorks and Nickelodeon Movies. Hotel for Dogs was released on January 16, 2009 to mixed reviews.
