Hugh Laurie is an English actor, writer, and comedian, who is best known for his character Dr. Gregory House on the popular Fox medical drama
House MD. Laurie rose to fame with partner Stephen Fry as the group Fry and Laurie. The two starred in the show Blackadder alongside Rowan Atkinson.

In his personal life, Laurie once dated actress Emma Thompson, whom he worked with early in his career. The two remain friends to this day. In 1989, he married Jo Green, a theatre administrator. Green and Laurie have three children together, including two sons and a daughter. Laurie is also good friends with his House co-star Robert Sean Leonard, who plays his best friend on the show.
