
The Sante Fe is a crossover sport utility vehicle built by South Korean automaker
Hyundai. First introduced in 2001, it is based on the Sonata platform and is one of
Hyundai’s biggest successes in the North American market. The car is currently in its second generational design phase.
Power in the current generation is provided by a range of engines starting with a smaller 2.7L V6 and ending with a 3.3L V6 putting out 242hp. A 2.2L diesel is also available. Transmission options include a 5
speed manual or a 4/5
speed automatic. Hybrid and electric versions are planned for the future.
