The Veracruz is a mid-size crossover sport utility vehicle built by South Korean automaker Hyundai. First introduced in 2007, it is available in the North America, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. The name Veracruz comes from the state located in Mexico.
Power is currently provided by either a 3.0L V6(South Korea) or a 3.8L V6(North America) mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission. Future versions of the Veracruz will incorporate high mileage diesel designs. Four wheel drive is available.
