The movie is about two city police detectives ( Al Pacino and Martin Donovan) dispatched to investigate a murder in a small Alaska town. An accident forces the detective into a psychological game with a suspect (Robin Williams). Hilary Swank plays a local detective trying to make sense of Pacino's erratic behavior. Insomnia was released by Warner Bros. on November 5, 2002. The film's budget was $46 million and it grossed over $67 million at the box office.
