Isla Fisher (born February 3, 1976) is an actress and author best known for her roles in such films as
Wedding Crashers and
Scooby Doo. Her acting career began in Australia where Fisher appeared in several television commercials, later moving to the role of Shannon Reed on Home and Away, a popular Australian soap opera. Fisher has been nominated for three awards and is the recipient of the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance (2005) for
Wedding Crashers.
Fisher lives in both Los Angeles and London with her fiance, actor
Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Ali G). The couple have a daughter, Olive, born in 2007.
