Jensen Ackles (born March 1, 1978) is a television and film actor and model best known for his role as Dean Winchester on the WB thriller Supernatural.
Ackles got his start modeling at the age of four and began concentrating on his acting career in 1996. In 1997, Ackles joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady. His performance as Brady won him a 1998 Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer as well as three nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.
Ackles has appeared in minor roles on several TV shows since, including Dark Angel,
Still Life, and Dawson's Creek. In 2005, he landed the role of Dean Winchester in Supernatural alongside actor and best friend
Jared Padalecki.
