Jessica Simpson is a famous American singer and actress, who became famous in the 1990s and is known for being a ditz. Her music career was relatively successful and drew comparisons to fellow pop stars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

She had a relationship with singer Nick Lachey of the band 98 Degrees, who she married in 2002. A reality show called Newlyweds about their married life garnered Simpson a great deal of recognition.

Although the marriage dissolved in 2005, she used her new found fame to move into the world of film with roles in films such as The Dukes of Hazard, Employee of the Month, The Master of Disguise, Knocked Up, and Blonde Ambition.

Presently, she is dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. The relationship drew criticism from Cowboys fans when, after Jessica attended a game in 2007, Romo had one of his worst performances. Fans claimed she was a jinx on the football team and that she should be barred from future games. The couple remain together and are set to move-in together.

She is also the sister of singer Ashlee Simpson who has risen from beneath her bigger sister’s shadow to have a relatively successful career of her own.
