Justin Timberlake is an American singer and actor. He began his career on TV with the
Mickey Mouse Club but catapulted to fame as the front man of the boy band ‘N Sync. With the band he recorded such hits as “Tearin’ Up My Heart”, “It’s Gonna Be Me”, and “Bye Bye Bye”. In 2002, he left ‘N Sync to pursue a solo career.
Unlike his former band mates, his solo career has been extremely successful. His debut solo album “Justified” sold over seven million copies. In 2006 he released the album FutureSex/LoveSounds behind the hit single “Sexy Back”.
Timberlake has had a great deal of media exposure in his personal life. From dating and breaking up with fellow Mouseketeer and pop star
Britney Spears, to purported relationships with
Alyssa Milano,
Cameron Diaz, and presently actress
Jessica Biel.
Timberlake’s film career has been short, but promising, with film credits including Alpha Dog, The Love Guru, Southland Tales, Black Snake Moan, and several appearances on
Saturday Night Live (where he recorded the viral Internet hit “Dick in a Box”).
Timberlake is also an avid golfer, participating in numerous charity tournaments and even appearing in Tiger Woods video games. Many of the charities Timberlake contributes to are directed towards helping children in need.
