Kate Hudson is an American actress and daughter of Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson. She is known for her slender frame and an elfish face that looks very much like her mother’s. Despite growing up with famous parents, Hudson wanted to make it as an actor because of her hard work and not as a result of riding her parents’ coattails.
She came into her own in 2001 because of her Oscar nominated performance as Penny Lane in the film Almost Famous. Other notable Kate Hudson films include How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, You, Me, and Dupree, The Skeleton Key, Gossip, and Fool’s Gold.
Although actor and Goldie Hawn’s long time boyfriend Kurt Russell is not her birth father, he is considered by Hudson to be her father. In her personal life, she married Chris Robinson, the lead singer of the band the Black Crowes in 2000. Together they had a child, Ryder Russell Robinson.
In 2007, however, the couple divorced, and it was widely speculated that Hudson’s relationship to
Owen Wilson contributed to the break up. Hudson and Wilson broke up a few months later, and shortly after,
