Kristen Bell (born July 18, 1980) is a television, film, and stage actress best known for her role as seventeen-year-old detective Veronica on UPN's
Veronica Mars.
A child actor, Bell first appeared in stage performances, most notably as Becky Thatcher in Broadway's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She went on to appear in various minor television and film roles, gaining fame with her breakout role as
Veronica Mars in 2004. Since, Bell has appeared in the NBC drama Heroes as Elle Bishop and lends her voice to the mysterious
Gossip Girl on the WB hit show. In 2008, Bell starred in
Forgetting Sarah Marshall with actor Jason Segal.
Once engaged to producer Kevin Mann, Bell is currently dating actor Dax Shepard.
