Jack Black’s voice talents carry the animated comedy Kung Fu Panda. Kung Fu Panda also features the voice talents of Dustin Hoffman,

Lucy Liu, Ian McShane, James Hong, and Michael Clarke Duncan. The movie was produced by Melissa Cobb, and the script was written by Jonathan Gauthiers and Glenn Berger. Kung Fu Panda was released by DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures on June 6, 2008 to positive reviews. A sequel is in pre-production.
The film is set in China and features a panda named Po who wishes to become a kung fu master. Po later becomes the Dragon Warrior. The film had a positive reception in China. Chinese director Lu Chuan said, “From a production standpoint, the movie is nearly perfect. Its American creators showed a very sincere attitude about Chinese culture.” The film grossed over $631 million worldwide.
