Lauren Conrad is an American reality television star. She first came into the spotlight in the MTV reality show Laguna Beach about several well-off high school students from Orange County. She was popular enough on the show to warrant her own spin-off,
The Hills.
She brought several of her friends and some former Laguna Beach cast mates with her to
The Hills including Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, and Audrian Patridge.
The Hills chronicles her life after school and in the fashion industry. Conrad was originally living with Montag until the friendship deteriorated over Montag’s relationship with Pratt. Patridge went on to replace Montag as Conrad’s roommate. On the show, Conrad works as an intern for the magazine Teen Vogue. The show’s success has gone on to boost magazine sales for Teen Vogue, and it has garnered her a position with Kelly Cutrone at the People’s Revolution.
She has also appeared in films like Epic Movie and television shows such as
Privileged and Greek in a cameo capacity. She has even stepped into acting, contributing a voice to the cartoon King of the Hill and starring in the new 90210 show as Kayla Andress. Currently, Conrad is developing her own fashion line and
