
The ABC fantasy-drama Lost was a hit even before it first aired in 2004. Thanks to the internet, buzz about the show of strangers stranded on a mysterious island had people talking for months before the first episode aired.
The series was created by Damon Lindelof, J.J. Abrams and Jefferey Lieber and revolves about the struggle and survival of a group of passengers on Oceanic flight 815 crashing on an island where
supernatural occurrences take place. Almost each episode takes place withing a few hours or a day. Although the show will air six seasons (a final end-date was announced in 2007) the actual time on the island will be much shorter.
The show's unique style has made fans obsessed with that is going on and what is going to happen. The show is known for leaving clues throughout episodes as to what is really going on on the island. The mystery has kept thousands of fans guessing and spawned many debates and discussions. Each episode is focused on an individual character and offers flashbacks to reveal the story behind the character and how they happen to be on that fateful flight. As more character pasts are reveals it is discovered that all he survivors are connected in one way or another.
