Marc Jacobs studied at the famous New York fashion school Parson's School of Design. While studying there, he received some the school highest honors and awards. He designed and released his first collection under his name in 1986 and in just a year's time he was honored with the Parry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. His immense talent was quickly notices not just by the fashion elite, but by fashion enthusiasts all around.
