Mean Girls is a teen comedy which was released in 2004. It was directed by Mark Waters and written by Rosalind Wiseman and Tina Fey. It was based on a book titled "Queen Bees and Wannabees" by Rosalind Wiseman. The film starred Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. Tina Fey, Lacey Chabert and Tim Meadows co-starred.
The story of this film revolves around Cady, the new girl in school who starts out as an outcast, but learns about the social politics of the many cliques and how to deal with them, though possibly through devious ways. The movie received mostly positive reviews from critics, and had a successful box office run, grossing $129 million worldwide.
