The R-Class is crossover sport utility vehicle built by German automaker Mercedes-Benz. First introduced in 2006, it is marketed as a jack-of-all-trades vehicle. It has been called an SUV, a station wagon, a minivan, and even a sports cruiser. Sales have been poor however and Mercedes is planning a replacement in 2010.
Power is provided by a variety of engines starting with a 3.0L V6 and ending with a 6.2L V8. Mercedes offers its new 7
speed automatic transmission with the R Class as well.
