The movie "Metro" was directed by Thomas Carter and released on January 17, 1997. Centered around hostage negotiator Scott Roper, the story unfolds in a police station. When Roper's colleague and friend is killed by a criminal, Roper is very disturbed. Seeking justice, Roper does whatever is required in order to track down the murderer. Throughout the whole mission, Roper also is constantly mentoring an up and coming hostage negotiator. The movie stars Eddie Murphy as Scott Roper and David Michael Silverman as SWAT Officer Jennings.
The movie also includes Kim Miyori, Art Evans, James Carpenter and Michael Rapaport. An interesting tidbit about the movie is that during the cable car scene, fake cable car tracks were actually painted on a quieter street in San Francisco while the cars were motorized during the shoot.
