Patrick Lussier directed and edited the 2009 remake of the 1981 Canadian slasher film My Bloody Valentine. The original film is a low budget movie made to capitalize of the slasher genre in the 1980s. The slasher genre began with movies like John Carpenter’s Halloween, and Friday the 13th. The actors in the cast include,
Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith, Edi Gathegi, Tom Atkins, Betsy Rue, Kevin Tighe, Marc Macaulay, Megan Boone, and Richard John Walters. The movie had a 3-D theatrical release on January 16, 2009. The film was released by Lionsgate to generally favorable reviews. My Bloody Valentine is the first R-rated film projected in Real D technology.
