New York Yankees - ML Baseball

New York Yankees image The New York Yankees are a Major League Baseball and one of the league’s oldest franchises. Since 1923 they have played in Yankee Stadium in New York City, New York. The team logo is red, white, and blue, and features a baseball and baseball bat with an “Uncle Sam” hat from it.

Notable New York Yankees of past and present include Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Don Mattingly, Reggie Jackson, Roger Clemens, Derek Jeter, and Alex Rodriguez. They play in the American League East Division with such teams as the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Rays. They have a long standing and storied rivalry against the Boston Red Sox. Their most recent World Series victories were from 1998-2000 against the San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves, and New York Mets, respectively.
