Nissan Z - General Automotive

The Nissan Z are a series of sports cars produced by the Japanese automaker. The Zs have a long and colorful history stretching back to the 1960s and despite their reliability, looks, and performance, they have been extremely affordable cars in comparison to more extravagant vehicles such as the Porsche 911. The Nissan Zs have the distinction of being the best selling sports cars of all time.

The original Z model was the 240Z introduced in 1969. It became instantly popularly and sold over 45,000 units until 1971 when it was further upgraded. Since then, there have been five more generations with a sixth set to be introduced in 2009. The Z model engine displacement is represented by the first numbers in the model name. The 240Z, the 300ZX, and the 350Z each individually have a 2.4 L engine, a 3.0L, and a 3.5L respectively. Following this naming tradition, the upcoming 370Z will have a 3.7L engine.
