The film also stars Keir O’Donnell, Jayma Mays, Raini Rodriguez, Shriley Knight, Stephen Rannazzisi, Peter Gerety, Bobby Cannavale, Adam Ferrara, Adhir Kalyan, Erick Avari, Allen Covert, Bas Rutten, and Jason Ellis.
The film was released by Columbia Pictures on January 16, 2009, and debuted at the number one spot at the box office. The movie received generally negative and mixed reviews. Film critic Roger Ebert wrote, “It’s as slam-bang preposterous as any R-rated comedy you can name. It’s just that Paul Blart and the film’s other characters don’t feel the need to use the f-word as the building block of every sentence.”
