The Pontiac Torrent is an SUV built by the Pontiac division of General Motors. Introduced in 2006, it was intended as the successor of the Pontiac Aztek but will be discontinued in 2009. The Torrent’s sister car is the Chevrolet Equinox of which both are build on the GM Theta platform.
Power is provided by either a 3.4L or 3.6L V6 mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission.
The Torrent was one of the prizes in the 2005 season of Survivor.
