Rachel Bilson is an up-and-coming American actress who made her television debut on the popular drama series The OC.
She came from a show business family, in which her dad was a director, producer, and writer and her grandpa was a film director. Both of her great-grandparents worked in show business as well. She had a turbulent, rebellious childhood, which she credits for helping her get on track in life.
In 2003, her role as Summer Roberts on the hit show The OC catapulted her to great fame. She had a well publicized relationship with her OC co-star
Adam Brody (Brody played Seth Cohen, the love interest of Summer Roberts on the show). The couple got engaged in 2005, but broke up in 2006.
Bilson’s movie credits include romantic comedy The Last Kiss starring
Zach Braff and the sci-fi epic
Jumper which starred fellow up-and-comers
Hayden Christensen and Jamie Bell. For a time she was linked to the much anticipated superhero flick, Wonder Woman, but it proved to be only conjecture.
In addition to film, she has had many guest roles on popular televisions programs including That 70’s Show,
Chuck,
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and 8 Simple Rules. In 2008, she began filming Waiting for Forever, an indie romantic comedy.
