Carlos Dias and Roger Dubuis founded Roger Dubuis, maker of brand name luxury watches. Dubuis worked for fourteen years developing complications for Patek Philippe before founding his own atelier in 1980. Carlos Dias joined Dubuis after designing for Franck Muller.
Born in Geneva, Dubuis’ watches bear a strong association to the culture in Geneva. His watches are also submitted to the quality hallmark of the Poncon de Geneve as well as receiving chronometer certifications. The Richemont Group acquired 60 percent interest in Roger Dubuis in August 2008. The announcement was made on Monday, August 11, 2008. The Richemont Group is also based in Geneva. The acquisition was a private transaction with chief executable officer and primary shareholder, Carlos Dias. Roger Dubuis plans to continue to produce and distribute watches under the Roger Dubuis name.
