Royal Ivey started his NBA career in 2004. After his career at University of Texas, where he ended up being the all time career leader in number of games started, he was drafted by
Atlanta Hawks as second round draft choice in the 2004 NBA Draft. While he was with the
Atlanta Hawks, his teammates had nicknamed him as Cheese,in reference to the Royale of Cheese from the movie "
Pulp Fiction". He plays at the point guard position. In September 2007, Ivey signed a one-year contract with the
Milwaukee Bucks. In July 2008, Royal Ivey agreed to play for the Philadelphia 76ers.
