
Ryan Reynolds (born October 23, 1976) is a television and film actor from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
A child actor, Reynolds first appeared in the Canadian teen-soap Hillside (distributed in the US as "Fifteen" on Nickelodeon) and later went on to star in National Lampoon's Van Wilder and the television series Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place. His successful television and film roles led to additional feature film appearances, including the lead in the Amityville Horror remake and Smokin' Aces.
Reynolds was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette in 2004, but the couple officially ended the engagement in 2007. In May of 2008, Reynolds announced his engagement to actress
Scarlett Johansson, marrying her in September of 2008.
