Sangre de Mi Sangre (2007), directed and written by Christopher Zalla. A gritty story of Juan and Pedro, two illegal Mexican immigrants heading to New York. The plot centers on a letter Pedro has been given by his now dead mother, an introduction to a New York father unknown to him. Pedro brags that his father, Diego, is a rich restaurant owner. Juan betrays his friend, steals the letter and abandons Pedro to pass himself off as his friend Pedro to Diego. Meanwhile Pedro struggles to survive on the streets.
