Sarah Jessica Parker is a famous American actress known widely for her character Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO show
Sex and the City and the movie of the same title.
She got her start on the television show Square Pegs. The show was canceled, but she was a hit. From there she went on to star in such film as
Footloose, Flight of the Navigator, L.A. Story, Honeymoon in Vegas, Striking Distance, Hocus Pocus,
The First Wives Club, Extreme Measures, ‘Til There Was You, Dudley Do-Right, Ed Wood, Mars Attacks, and
Failure to Launch.
For her role in Sex in
the City, she has been nominated for an Emmy six times, finally winning in 2004. The show itself has been nominated for four Emmys, and in 2001, it won for outstanding comedy series.
In her personal life, she has dated Robert Downey Jr., John Kennedy Jr., and Matthew Broderick, who she married in 1997. As of 2008, the couple remains together, and they live in New York City with their son James Broderick. Everyone in the family is left-handed. She has also dabbled in the perfume business. In 2007, she released a series of fragrances for her “Lovely” collection, including ‘Twilight’, ‘Dawn’, and ‘Endless’.
