The Astra is a family car built by the Saturn division of General Motors. First introduced in 1991, its counterpart is the Opel Astra which has been sold overseas for a number of years. The Saturn Astra itself is a captive import from Belgium and is intended to replace the Saturn Ion. It is only available in a hatchback body style.
Power is provided by a 1.8L inline 4 cylinder engine mated to either a 5 speed manual or a 4 speed automatic transmission.
