Sense & Sensibility - Movie Dramas

Ang Lee directed the 1995 British drama film Sense and Sensibility. Emma Thompson based the screenplay on the 1811 novel by Jane Austen. Emma Thompson also starred in the film. Some of the other actors include, Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Greg Wise, Gemma Jones, Emilie Francois, and Elizabeth Spriggs.

The film garnered seven Academy Award nominations and won for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Score. Sense and Sensibility also earned eleven BAFTA Awards and won for Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress. The film’s budget was $16 million; it grossed over $134 million at the box office.
