Sephora is a leading cosmetics retailer in both the U.S. and Europe with more than 90 stores nationwide and hundreds more worldwide. A member of Paris-based Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy Group (LVMH) since 1997, Sephora was first founded in France in 1969.
Sephora carries beauty products from more than 250 well-known brands, including Clinique, Bare Escentuals, Urban Decay, Stila, and many more. Sephora also carries its own private line, offering make-up, bath products, and tools to women of all ages.
In 2006, Sephora teamed up with JCPenney to sell its products in a "store within a store" concept. The in-JCPenney Sephoras are much smaller than the normal stores, but continue to carry a wide variety of products.
