Slumdog Millionaire - Movie Dramas

Danny Boyle and Loveleen Tandan co-directed the 2008 British drama film Slumdog Millionaire. The movie is based on the Boeke Prize winning novel by Vikas Swarup entitled Q and A. The movie is the story of a young man from Mumbai who appears on a game show and exceeds everyone’s expectations. The film stars Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Saurabh Shukla, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ankur Vikal, and Madhur Mittal. Slumdog Millionaire received much critical and commercial success. Slumdog Millionaire received ten Academy Award nominations, and eleven BAFTA Award nominations. The movie also won five of the six Critics Choice Awards for which it was nominated.
