South Park is an animated series airing on Comedy Central that premiered in 1997. The show follows the crazy adventures of Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny and their adventures in South Park, Colorado. South Park is known for its raunchy, often offensive humor, and satirical interpretations of current events.
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the network's longest running show is the only animated series to receive a TV-MA rating. South Park is also known for producing episode very quickly, often writing, producing and airing and episode in the span of a day or two.
Aside from the four boys, the show features a large cast of characters are related or interact daily with the four boys. The adults on the show are often portrayed as clueless. All except Chef, the school cafeteria's cook whom the boys look to for advice from time to time.
