Anne Fletcher directed the 2006 dance-romance film Step Up. It was distributed by Summit Entertainment and the screenplay was written by Duane Adler and Melissa Rosenberg. It was produced by Jennifer Gibgot, Adam Shankman, and Patrick Wachsberger. The movie stars Channing Tatum(Tyler Gage), Jenna Dewan(Nora Clark), and Damaine Radcliff(Mac). Tyler Gage and Nora Clark become dance partners and must work together and put apart their differences to fulfill their dreams.
The movie had a budget of $12 million and grossed over $114 million worldwide. It received mixed reviews by critics. This movie was followed by a 2008 sequel, Step Up 2: The Streets. A 3-D version is estimated to be released in 2010.
