Liam Neesan heads the cast of the 2008 thriller/action film Taken. The movie was directed and produced by Luc Besson. Besson co-wrote the screenplay with Robert Mark Kamen. Actors Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Xander Berkeley, Katie Cassidy, Olivier Rabourdin, Leland Orser, Jon Gries, David Warshofsky, and Holly Valance round out the cast.

The movie was released in France on February 27, 2008; it is set for release on January 30, 2009. Taken is about an ex-CIA agent who seeks to recover his daughter after she is kidnapped by sex-traffickers in Paris, France. The film’s budget was $45 million; so far it has grossed over $61 million at the box office.
