Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a spin-off of the
Terminator movie franchise that focuses on Sarah Connor and her life with son John Connor after the events of the film,
Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The show debuted on FOX and stars British actress Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as John Connor and Summer Glau as Cameron the
terminator sent to protect John.
The show fills in the events that lead up to Judgment Day (which we find out has been delayed by a few years and not stopped as suggested at the end of
Terminator 2. Sarah and John are wanted criminals and must live their lives under the radar at the same time protecting themselves from other
terminators sent back to kill John. A deeper exploration of the
Terminator mythology is possible through the show.
The ratings for
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have not been spectacular and has been struggling to find an audience. Despite that, FOX renewed the show for a second season and devoted fans continue to watch.
The show also stars Brian Austin Green, Garret Dillahunt, Shirley Manson, Leven Rambin, and Richard T. Jones.
