The Apprentice is a reality show that debuted on NBC in 2004. The show pits 16 contestants from across the country to compete to see who will be real estate giant Donald Trump's apprentice. Each contestant has some sort of business background and must prove they have the skills to survive in the tough business environment.
Contestants are divided into two teams and must complete a series of challenges (all business related and usually means having to make a profit) with a Project Manager being elected. Once the task is complete, the losing team (the one who made the least profit) must choose to send someone up for elimination. Donald Trump decided who stays and who gets fired.
At the end of the season, two contestants are left and Trump chooses who will be his right hand person in his next business
