The Bionic Woman was a sci-fi/fantasy drama that aired on ABC from 1976 to 1977 and then on NBC from 1977 to 1978.
The show follows Jamie Sommers, a top tennis player, who after a skydiving accident which leaves her body practically destroyed, is rebuilt with bionic parts. Working for a secret branch of the CIA, Jamie would go on missions and would get herself into situations were her bionic powers would need to be used.
Although the show was a hit for ABC and pulled in good ratings, the show was canceled because the network did not feel in brought in the demographic it was looking wanted. NBC picked it up for a final season.
