The Class, or Klass, is a movie written and directed by Ilmar Raag. The film, set in Estonia, was released March 16, 2007. The Class depicts one typical boy's struggle to defend his classmates against the vicious bullies of the school, which erupts into a full-fledged war against the leader of the school. The film stars Vallo Kirs as Kaspar, Part Uusberg as Joosep, and Lauri Pedaja as Anders, among others. The Class won two awards at the Warsaw International Film Festival as well as two awards at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. It also represented Estonia in the Best Foreign Language Film Category for the Academy Awards.
