
The Toronto Blue Jays are a Major League Baseball team that came into the league in 1977. Presently they play in the SkyDome, or Rogers Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The team logo is a blue, white, and silver and features a blue jay encompassed by the letter “J”.
Notable Toronto Blue Jays of past and present include Ricky Henderson, Paul Molitor, Dave Winfield, Phil Niekro, John Olerud, Vernon Wells, Roy Halladay, David Cone, Roberto Alomar, Roger Clemens, and Joe Carter. They play in the American League East Division with such teams as the
Boston Red Sox,
Baltimore Orioles,
Tampa Bay Rays, and
New York Yankees. They last won the World Series in 1992 and again in 1993 against the
Atlanta Braves and the
Philadelphia Phillies, respectively. The are the only Canadian team left in Major League Baseball.
