Total Request Live - General TV Shows

Total Request Live (TRL) was a key show for MTV which aired from September 14, 1998 until November 16, 2008 for a total of 2, 247 episodes. It focused on well-liked music videos and had daily guests. It was a key promotional vehicle for artists and their newest music. It was hosted by Carson Daly and featured the ten most requested music videos of the day in a countdown format, determined by viewer voting. The show appealed to the teen demographic primarily. Carson Daly left the show in 2002, leading to a variety of hosts but the most consistent one was Damien Fahey.
